We are looking for a Senior Shift Engineer to independently manage moulding shop operations on a No-Bake Sand System, ensuring production, quality, safety and manpower efficiency during the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage shift-wise moulding, core-making, mould assembly and closing activities.
- Handle heavy casting moulds up to 25 MT safely and efficiently.
- Monitor no-bake sand plant, mixer operation, binder/catalyst dosing and sand reclamation.
- Ensure mould and core quality as per process standards and method sheets.
- Control moulding-related defects and rejections through RCA and corrective actions.
- Lead and manage shift manpower, including moulders, core makers, helpers and supervisors.
- Coordinate with Methoding, Quality, Melting and Maintenance teams for smooth production.
- Monitor production targets, rejection levels, housekeeping, 5S and safety compliance.
- Prepare shift production/rejection reports and ensure proper shift handover.
Required Skills: Strong hands-on knowledge of No-Bake Moulding, Core Making, Sand Plant Operations, Heavy Casting Moulding, Defect Analysis and Shift Management, with positive leadership and problem-solving skills.
