Role & responsibilities

1. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned territory.

2. Execute beat plans effectively to maximize productive calls, strike rate, and outlet coverage.

3. Manage distributor operations, ensuring optimum inventory, timely billing, healthy ROI, and productive stock replenishment.

4. Expand numeric and weighted distribution by onboarding new retail outlets and increasing market penetration.

5. Drive product availability, SKU assortment, average bill value, and premium product sales across all assigned outlets.

6. Execute merchandising standards, visibility initiatives, and trade promotions to enhance brand presence at retail.

7. Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers to improve customer satisfaction and repeat business.

8. Monitor competitor activities, pricing, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities.

9. Ensure timely collections, control outstanding receivables,



and maintain commercial compliance within the territory.

10. Maintain accurate sales reports through SFA/DMS systems and collaborate with the Area Sales Manager to achieve business objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

- Graduate in any discipline; MBA or equivalent qualification is an added advantage.

- 47 years of experience in General Trade (GT) sales, preferably in FMCG, Apparel, Consumer Goods, or similar industries.

- Proven expertise in distributor management, order taking, retail development, and territory sales.

- Strong understanding of primary and secondary sales, beat planning, merchandising, trade schemes, and market execution.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Sales Force Automation (SFA)/Distributor Management System (DMS) tools.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills with a strong results-oriented mindset.
