We're partnering with a fast-growing technology consultancy to find an experienced Senior React Engineer for a major application modernisation programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in transforming a large-scale legacy platform into a modern React application.
If you enjoy untangling complex systems, working on challenging migration projects, and building scalable front-end applications, this could be the perfect contract for you.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the migration of a large enterprise application from a legacy technology stack to React.
- Analyse and understand existing Objective-J/Cappuccino code to recreate and improve functionality in React.
- Build clean, maintainable, and high performing React components.
- Collaborate with engineers to deliver current features while ensuring business continuity throughout the migration.
- Contribute to technical decisions and help shape the future architecture of the platform.
What we're looking for
- Strong commercial experience developing applications with React .
- Excellent JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills.
- Experience modernising or migrating legacy applications to modern front-end frameworks.
- Ability to understand and work with existing codebases during phased migration projects.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a distributed engineering team.
