Role Overview The Senior Associate – Purchase (Infrastructure) will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of infrastructure-related materials and services required for setting up and maintaining battery swapping stations, warehouses, offices, and operational facilities. The role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders, vendors, project teams, and finance to ensure timely procurement, cost optimization, and uninterrupted project execution. Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management

Execute end-to-end procurement of infrastructure-related materials, equipment, and services.

Source vendors for civil works, electrical items, fabrication, HVAC, interiors, signage, security systems, and facility-related requirements.

Float RFQs/RFPs, evaluate quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize vendors.

Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database across multiple regions.

Conduct vendor evaluations and monitor vendor performance on quality, delivery, and service.

Purchase Operations

Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely processing through ERP systems.

Track order status and coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries.





Resolve procurement-related issues including delays, shortages, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approval workflows.

Cost Optimization

Identify opportunities for cost savings through vendor negotiations and alternate sourcing.

Monitor market trends and pricing for infrastructure materials and services.

Support annual rate contract negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Cross-functional Coordination

Work closely with Infrastructure, Projects, Operations, Finance, and Stores teams.

Coordinate procurement schedules aligned with project timelines.

Ensure smooth material movement and availability for site execution.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain procurement documentation including quotations, comparative statements, contracts, and purchase records.

Ensure adherence to procurement SOPs and statutory compliance requirements.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary procurement documentation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations is preferred.

Experience





3–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.

Experience in infrastructure, facility setup, construction, manufacturing, EV, telecom, retail expansion, or similar industries is preferred.

Exposure to multi-location procurement will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Good understanding of infrastructure procurement processes.

Knowledge of civil, electrical, and MEP materials is preferred.

Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Zoho, or similar procurement platforms.

Strong analytical and commercial acumen.

Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting.

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
