Role Principal Database Developer (Oracle PL/SQL) Experience Level 8 – 12+ Years Domain Focus Financial Services (Private Banking, Credit, or Retirement/Workplace Investing Core Responsibilities Advanced Development Design, develop, and implement complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and analytical functions using Oracle 19c.

System Architecture

Ideate and build database designs, DataMarts, and frameworks that align with technology standards for resiliency and high availability.

Performance Engineering

Optimize complex queries and perform deep-dive performance tuning to ensure efficiency across multi-tier systems. ETL & Integration Lead data transformation and migration projects using Informatica, Control-M, and shell scripting. Production & Environment Management Manage and support UAT and Production infrastructure environments, ensuring data integrity and strict adherence to security and privacy standards (e.g., Swiss data management aspects).

Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with business partners and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical documentation.

Release Governance Manage

Change and Release management processes,



including the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.

Technical

Skills & Expertise Core Database Expert-level Oracle PL/SQL (Packages, Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning, Analytical Functions). Secondary knowledge of SQL Server or Sybase is preferred. Tools & Automation Hands-on experience with Informatica ETL, Control-M, and Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.

Methodology

Strong proficiency in Agile/Scrum environments and version control standards.

Up-to-date Infrastructure

Familiarity with containerization and cloud deployment related to databases.

Domain Knowledge

Deep exposure to Financial Services (specifically Credit Platforms, Private Banking, or Retirement/Workplace Investing domains).

Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience 10+ years in Information Technology, with a minimum of 8 years focused on DB development and design.

Soft Skills

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to converse with both technical architecture teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
