Role Description The Senior Physical Design Engineer will be responsible for driving end-to-end implementation of complex ASIC and SoC designs, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with front-end design teams on RTL and logic handoff, performing physical verification checks, and optimizing designs for power, performance, and area targets. The role involves analyzing and resolving timing, congestion, and DRC/LVS issues, preparing sign-off reports, and supporting tape-out activities.

The engineer will mentor junior team members,



provide technical guidance, and contribute to flow and methodology improvements. This is a full-time, on-site role located in India.

Qualifications

Solid expertise in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure.

Proficiency in Physical Verification, with hands-on experience in DRC, LVS, and sign-off checks.

Solid foundation in Logic Design and Circuit Design for digital integrated circuits.

Experience with RTL Design, including understanding of synthesis constraints and design-for-test considerations.

Working knowledge of industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, or equivalent) for physical implementation and verification.

Demonstrated ability to debug complex design issues, analyze reports, and implement effective optimization strategies.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams and mentor colleagues.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Prior experience in advanced technology nodes and full-chip implementation is highly beneficial.
