Role Description The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead end-to-end mechanical design activities for point-of-care diagnostic devices and related MedTech products.

Responsibilities include developing concepts, performing detailed design and machine design, creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as electronics, biosciences, and software engineering. The role involves iterating prototypes, supporting design verification and validation, optimizing designs for manufacturability, reliability, and regulatory requirements,



and working with suppliers and manufacturing partners. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune District, requiring regular presence in the lab and engineering facilities to support hands-on testing, assembly, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess robust core Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skills, with experience in designing mechanisms, enclosures, and precision components.

Candidates should possess Design Engineering and Product Design skills, including concept development, prototyping, and design for manufacturability and assembly.

Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and workflows, including 3D modeling, detailed drawings, tolerancing, and documentation.

Experience in medical devices, laboratory instruments, or high-precision electromechanical systems is highly beneficial.

Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal), and basic structural/thermal analysis is preferred.

Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage design reviews and documentation.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with several years of relevant industry experience in mechanical design.
