This role is at the forefront of employer engagement and student outcomes. It anchors on-the-ground implementation, co-creating a fairer, faster job ecosystem with the industry. We are looking for someone who can build meaningful and long-term relationships with employers across sectors, while deeply understanding both industry realities and student aspirations.
This role will contribute toward strengthening the bridge between education and employment by enabling better alignment between workforce needs and student career pathways. The role requires a relationship-first and problem-solving mindset, with a strong focus on trust-building, ecosystem understanding, and sustainable opportunity creation.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Employer Ecosystem and Market Intelligence
- Identify and prioritize high-potential sectors aligned with student profiles and market demand.
- Build and maintain a structured employer landscape, including employer segmentation, tiering, hiring trends and cycles, role categories and growth pathways, skills demand and workforce shifts.
- Conduct market and employer research to generate ecosystem insights.
- Identify emerging sectors and employer engagement opportunities.
Strategic Employer Partnerships
- Build deep, trust-based relationships with employers across sectors.
- Lead in-person and context-driven employer conversations.
- Position the organization as a trusted partner in solving talent and hiring challenges.
- Strengthen repeat employer engagement and long-term partnerships.
- Conduct regular employer visits and engagement meetings.
Opportunity & Solution Design
- Understand employer challenges related to hiring, retention, and skill gaps.
- Translate employer needs into relevant jobs, internships, apprenticeships, and exposure opportunities.
- Co-create solutions with employers to improve prospect quality and alignment.
- Negotiate opportunities while balancing employer expectations and student realities.
- Continuously improve role quality through employer and student feedback.
Student-Employer Alignment
- Understand student aspirations, readiness, and constraints.
- Represent student realities authentically during employer engagement.
- Ensure stronger alignment between role expectations and student capabilities.
- Support improved retention and long-term career alignment through better pre-placement understanding.

And some prior experience: An experience of 3-5 years is preferred in employer engagement, talent acquisition, career services or youth employability program. Prior work in the social impact or education sectors is a plus.
