IN-HOUSE OPPORTUNITY | SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL (COMMERCIAL) | CHENNAI

We are working with a fast-growing global technology and AI-driven organization to hire a Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial) for its Chennai office. This is a strategic role supporting global business operations across the UK, US and APAC, with significant exposure to complex cross-border commercial transactions.

Experience: 12–15 Years PQE

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements including MSAs, SOWs, SaaS/PaaS Agreements, DPAs, Licensing Agreements, Qualified Services Agreements, NDAs, Vendor and Technology Agreements .
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, Delivery, Procurement and other business teams on customer-facing transactions.
- Advise on commercial risk, contract strategy, data privacy and IP-related matters.




- Support cross-border legal matters and collaborate with global stakeholders across the UK, US and APAC.
- Drive contract lifecycle management, legal operations and process improvements.

Ideal Candidate:

- 12–15 years of PQE with a mix of law firm and in-house experience (preferred).
- Strong commercial contracting experience in Technology, AI, SaaS, Consulting or Professional Services .
- Exposure to international contracts, particularly UK/US jurisdictions.
- Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Experience with CLM tools and legal process optimization is preferred.
