Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. As a key contributor, you ll help shape the future of our platform by designing, building, and scaling robust backend systems that power real-world applications used by thousands of customers daily.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance Microservices-based architectures to support evolving business needs.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.
- Work with AWS cloud services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation, etc.) for application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Implement event-driven, reactive systems using Apache Kafka to enable real-time data processing and integration.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices (SOLID principles, TDD, DRY).
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve application performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical leadership.
- Contribute to technical roadmap planning, architecture decisions, and system design discussions.

Required Skills
- Core Java & Backend Development




- Strong experience in Java 8 with deep understanding of OOP, concurrency, and design patterns.
- Proven expertise in Spring Boot (including Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.

- Cloud & Infrastructure

- Hands-on experience designing and deploying Microservices-based architectures.
- Experience working with AWS cloud services (compute, storage, databases, messaging, and infrastructure-as-code).
- Familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

- Data & Databases

- Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger preferred).
- Experience with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
- Strong grasp of multithreading, concurrency patterns, and performance optimization techniques.

- Event-Driven Systems & Tools

- Practical experience with Apache Kafka for building event-driven, scalable systems.
- Experience with messaging systems and stream processing frameworks.

- Soft Skills & Collaboration

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical leadership.
