Senior Hardware Design Engineer
Overview The Senior Hardware Engineer will provide high-level technical contribution in designing, testing, and validating specialized equipment, focusing on embedded systems, circuit design, and multi-layer PCBs, ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards. Power Electronics experience is a MUST.
Key Responsibilities
â Design, develop, simulate, and optimize power electronic circuits including:
â Inverters â DC-DC Converters â AC-DC Converters â Battery Chargers â AC Power Supplies â DC Power Supplies â Utilize simulation and modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice, and other relevant platforms for circuit analysis, design verification, and performance optimization.
â Build hardware prototypes and perform hands-on testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis activities.
â Collaborate with PCB layout engineers or directly support PCB layout activities with focus on:
â High-current and high-voltage routing â Thermal management â Parasitic minimization â Design optimization for manufacturability and reliability â Select suitable power electronic and analog components considering electrical, thermal, reliability, and application-specific requirements.
â Conduct thermal analysis, qualification testing, screening tests, and EMI/EMC evaluations.
â Participate in Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR) conducted by customers and internal stakeholders.
â Support product development activities throughout the complete product lifecycle.
â Ensure designs comply with applicable military standards, safety requirements, and engineering best practices.
â Prepare and maintain technical documentation including:
â Technical Specifications â Hardware Design Documents â Working Principle Documents â Schematics â Bill of Materials (BOMs)
â Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
â Acceptance Test Reports (ATR)
â Qualification Test Procedures (QTP)
â Reliability Calculations â Derating Analysis â FMECA Analysis â Design Reports
Qualifications
â Bachelor's or Master's Degree in:
â Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
â Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
â Instrumentation Engineering â Telecommunication Engineering â Power Electronics Engineering â Other relevant disciplines
Experience
â 3+ years of hands-on experience in Power Electronics Design and Development.
â Strong experience in Analog Circuit Design and Power Supply Design.
â Candidates should have successfully completed and delivered at least 4–5 Power Electronics projects.
â Experience in Aerospace or Defence Power Supply Design will be considered an added advantage but is not mandatory.

â Power Converter Topologies â Analog Circuit Design â Digital Circuit Design â Control Theory â Control Loop Design â Power Electronics Component Selection â Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools including:

â Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance requirements and mitigation techniques.

Hardware Skills
â Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as:
â Oscilloscopes â Digital Multimeters (DMM)
â AC/DC Power Sources â Electronic Loads â Logic Analyzers â Spectrum Analyzers â Power Analyzers â Other relevant test and measurement instruments
Documentation Skills
â Experience preparing and reviewing:
â ATP â ATR â QTP â Reliability Reports â Derating Analysis â FMECA Analysis â Screening Test Documents â Technical Specifications â Hardware Design Documents â Design Reports â Schematics â BOMs
Soft Skills
â Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

â Salary Range: ₹45,000 – ₹50,000 per month (Based on experience, technical expertise, and interview performance).
