Company Overview
Company is a NABET Accredited Indian entity engaged in mineral exploration and shallow geo-scientific services, delivering end-to-end solutions to mining, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. With a focus on innovation and sustainable resource development, the company operates across globe in different terrains which at times involve working in geologically complex regions. Job Summary:
The Geologist will play a key role in supporting mineral exploration programs by interpreting structural controls on mineralization, preparing structural models, and guiding drilling and sampling strategies. The candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed geological investigations to aid in understanding the tectonic framework, deformation patterns, and structural controls on ore localization and mineralization. The position requires both field-based and office-based work, with solid collaboration with geo-scientists, GIS specialists, and drilling teams.
This role is central to enhancing exploration targeting, resource evaluation and geo-technical assessment by integrating field-based structural observations with geophysical, geochemical, and remote sensing datasets. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed structural mapping, core logging, and interpretation of geological structures in the field.
Analyze deformation histories, litho-structural relationships, and identify structural controls on mineralization.
Integrate surface and subsurface data (mapping, geophysics, drilling, remote sensing, etc.) to develop 3D geological and structural models.
Provide structural inputs to target generation, exploration drilling plans, and resource delineation.
Assist in planning and execution of exploration programs (mapping, trenching, drilling) aligned with structural interpretations.
Provide input on drilling program design, core orientation, logging protocols, and sampling strategies considering structural complexities.
Use software tools (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine, GeoModeller, Move, ArcGIS) for structural data analysis and modeling.
Contribute to technical reporting including prefeasibility studies, and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), aligned with NABET and Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) norms.
Maintain strict adherence to field safety protocols, environmental safeguards, and community engagement practices.
Prepare technical reports, cross-sections, and maps for internal use and regulatory compliance (IBM, DGMS, MoEF, NABET).
Train and mentor junior geologists and field assistants in structural data collection techniques. Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Geology / Structural Geology / Applied Geology from a recognized university.
Min.10–15 years of experience in structural geology, preferably in mineral exploration (metallic/non-metallic).
Experience working in varied geological terrains (e.g., greenstone belts, granulite terrains, fold-thrust belts) would be an advantage.
Proficient in field structural measurements (e.g., bedding, foliation, lineation, shear zones, folds, faults).
Familiar with Indian mining legislation and geological reporting standards (e.g., UNFC, JORC preferred).
Strong communication skills in English and Hindi (or regional language). Interested candidates may apply on
[email protected] with their updated CV's, Current drawn package & Notice Period.
