Role & responsibilities:

The Finance Manager will oversee all financial and accounting operations of the switchgear manufacturing business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, statutory compliance, budgeting, and profitability analysis. The role will partner with operations, procurement, sales, and production teams to improve financial performance, optimize working capital, and support strategic business decisions. Manufacturing finance, inventory management, and project costing experience are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

- Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial projections.
- Analyze monthly financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Support management with strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Develop financial models for current projects, capital investments, and business expansion.

Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
- Prepare Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and MIS reports.
- Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal financial controls.
- Coordinate statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits.

Manufacturing Costing & Inventory Control:
- Monitor product costing, standard costing,



and variance analysis.
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Monitor inventory valuation, WIP (Work-in-Progress), finished goods, and slow-moving inventory.
- Support production and procurement teams in cost optimization initiatives.

Working Capital & Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, and banking activities.
- Optimize working capital and improve liquidity.
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and fund utilization.

Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate tax assessments and regulatory filings.
- Ensure timely payment of statutory dues.

Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and Project Management teams.
- Review project profitability and contract margins.
- Provide financial insights to improve operational efficiency and business profitability.

Risk Management & Internal Controls:
- Strengthen internal financial controls and compliance procedures.
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
