Role & responsibilities
- Perform in-service and external inspections of process units and equipment.
- Conduct TA/SD inspections of all static equipment and piping, including pressure vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, tanks, spheres, columns, boilers, heaters, PSVs, and civil structures.
- Perform PSV testing and establish appropriate inspection intervals.
- Establish inspection intervals for all static equipment.
- Monitor and ensure QA/QC compliance for repair and fabrication activities, including welding qualifications, WPS, PQR, and ITP.
- Select appropriate NDT methods and evaluate the acceptance of NDT results.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate corrosion and damage mechanisms.
- Perform corrosion loop assessments, RBI, IOW implementation, and RCFA activities.
- Perform integrity calculations, including corrosion rate, minimum required thickness (T-min), remaining life, and inspection interval assessments.
- Identify integrity gaps, analyze findings, and develop corrective action plans.
- Develop explicit and optimized shutdown inspection scopes for equipment and piping.
- Maintain and update inspection records.
- Manage thickness monitoring activities, including TML selection.
- Apply knowledge of materials, applicable codes, and industry standards.
- Prepare inspection reports with repair recommendations.
- Conduct inspections and monitoring for CUI, SBP, dead legs, and injection/mixing points.
- Develop and implement inspection and integrity procedures, including inspection checklists.
- Perform vendor qualification, selection, inspection, and performance monitoring.
- Conduct warehouse material inspections and review MTCs for acceptance, including PMI, visual inspection, and dimensional verification.
Preferred candidate profile
- 6-7 years of relevant experience in process industries, with hands-on exposure to inspection QA and asset integrity activities.
- Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- API certifications such as API 510, API 570, API 571, and API 580 are preferred.
- Additional certifications such as AWS, CSWIP, NACE, and NDT are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, quality assurance practices, and asset integrity management.
- Experience in process equipment inspection, statutory compliance, and integrity assessment activities.
- Good understanding of applicable industry standards, codes, and inspection procedures.
- Ability to prepare inspection reports, analyze findings, and recommend corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
