This role exists to help clients improve the reliability, usability, and control of their data assets.
You will work across business, technology, and data teams to translate governance objectives into executable processes, metadata standards, quality rules, and operational controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, operating models, policies, standards, and procedures.
- Define, document, and manage data quality rules across critical data domains and business processes.
- Configure and use Informatica Cloud capabilities to support governance, metadata management, data quality, profiling, and rule execution.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify critical data elements, ownership models, stewardship responsibilities, and data issue management workflows.
- Conduct data profiling and quality assessment to identify gaps, inconsistencies, duplication, and control issues.
- Translate business rules into technical data quality checks, validation logic, and remediation workflows.
- Support the implementation of data cataloguing,
metadata management, lineage, and stewardship processes.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to embed governance and quality controls into data pipelines and reporting layers.
- Track data quality metrics, exceptions, root causes, and remediation progress.
- Prepare explicit documentation, dashboards, and reports for governance forums, client leadership, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure delivery aligns with public sector data governance expectations, security standards, and client compliance requirements.
- Contribute to workshops, requirement gathering sessions, stakeholder discussions, and governance maturity assessments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6 years of experience in data governance, data quality, information management, or related data management roles.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud, especially data quality, profiling, metadata, governance, or catalog-related capabilities.
- Strong understanding of data governance concepts, including data ownership, stewardship, policies, standards, data domains, and critical data elements.
- Practical experience defining and implementing data quality rules, scorecards, issue logs, and remediation processes.
- Ability to translate business requirements into data quality checks and governance controls.
- Experience working with structured enterprise data across systems, databases, data warehouses, or cloud platforms.
- Good understanding of data lineage, metadata management, business glossaries, and data cataloguing.
- Strong documentation skills, including governance standards, rule specifications, process flows,
and operating procedures.
- Experience working with business users, data owners, technology teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex data issues.
- Prior experience in government, public sector, banking, telecom, or regulated industries is preferred.
- Willingness to work from office for a government client engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Informatica Cloud certification or hands-on project experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure data services, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or enterprise data platforms.
- Knowledge of DAMA, DCAM, or similar data management frameworks.
- Experience supporting data governance programs for government or regulated clients.
- Familiarity with privacy, security, and compliance requirements in enterprise data environments.
- Experience creating executive-level data quality dashboards and governance reporting.
What Success Looks Like
- Data quality rules are clearly defined, approved, implemented, and monitored across priority data domains.
- Critical data elements, owners, stewards, and business definitions are documented and maintained.
- Data quality issues are identified, tracked, prioritized, and resolved through a structured process.
- Governance documentation is clear, usable, and adopted by business and technology teams.
- Informatica Cloud capabilities are configured effectively to support governance, profiling, rule execution, and reporting.
- Client stakeholders have improved visibility into data quality performance, ownership, and remediation progress.
- Governance controls are embedded into daily data operations rather than treated as one-time documentation.
- Delivery is completed with the rigor, confidentiality, and stakeholder discipline expected in a government environment.
