Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake | DBT | Matillion)

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and Matillion to design and build scalable, high-performance data platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in modern data warehousing, ELT pipeline development, data modelling, and client-facing project delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable ELT pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and Matillion Data Productivity Cloud
- Build modular and reusable data transformation frameworks
- Design and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- Ingest structured and semi-structured data from cloud storage, APIs, and databases
- Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, clustering, and cost
- Build orchestration workflows using dbt Cloud, Matillion, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory
- Implement data governance, RBAC, encryption, and security best practices
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions




- Mentor junior engineers and lead code reviews
- Drive end-to-end project ownership in a consulting environment

Required Qualifications :

- 5 - 8 years of Data Engineering experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt
- Demonstrable project experience using Matillion ETL or Matillion Data Productivity Cloud
- Strong SQL and performance tuning expertise
- Experience with Git version control
- Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as dbt Cloud, Matillion, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory
- Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, Medallion Architecture, and contemporary data warehousing concepts
- Experience with JSON, CSV, Parquet, and API integrations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
