Sipra Labs Limited, a US FDA-approved contract research organisation serving the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Food industries for over 30 years, seeks a Senior Chemist for its Food Testing Laboratory to independently execute proximate analysis of food and feed samples.
Conduct proximate analysis (moisture, ash, crude fat, crude protein, crude fibre, carbohydrate) per AOAC/FSSAI/BIS methods. Operate and maintain Kjeldahl, Soxhlet, muffle furnace, and moisture analyser systems. Maintain NABL-compliant raw data and worksheets. Support method validation and internal audits. Supervise junior chemists and review analytical data for accuracy. Ensure adherence to laboratory SOPs and turnaround time commitments.
Preferred candidate profile
M.Sc. in Chemistry / Food Technology / Food Science. 5-8 years in a food/agri testing laboratory, with demonstrated independent handling of proximate analysis. Working knowledge of NABL (ISO/IEC 17025) documentation. Solid analytical and instrumentation troubleshooting skills.
