What you’ll do This role is the primary owner of the Certinia (FinancialForce) side of our Salesforce implementation, with a particular focus on PSA (Professional Services Automation). You will be the go-to person for how Certinia is configured, maintained, and evolved - translating business needs into robust PSA processes and keeping the application healthy, well-governed, and aligned with how our services organisation actually works.
You will work as part of an established Salesforce team that already includes Architects, Developers, and Admins, so deep Salesforce expertise across the whole platform is not required. What matters is a firm grasp of core Salesforce concepts so you can collaborate effectively with the team, reason about how Certinia sits on top of the platform, and make sound configuration decisions. No coding is expected - our development team handles custom development; your strength is configuration, process ownership, and functional depth in Certinia PSA.
Key Responsibilities Certinia PSA Ownership
Act as the main owner and subject-matter expert for Certinia PSA - resource management, projects, timecards, expenses, milestones, and billing events as they relate to PSA processes
Own the PSA configuration: project templates, assignment and scheduling logic, approval processes, and PSA-specific automation
Translate requirements from services, finance, and delivery stakeholders into well-structured Certinia processes and configuration
Maintain PSA data integrity and keep the application aligned with evolving business and reporting needs Configuration & Continuous Improvement
Own declarative configuration on the Certinia side - objects, fields, flows, validation rules, page layouts,
and permissions relevant to PSA
Assess Certinia release notes and seasonal updates, plan for impact, and coordinate testing before changes reach production
Identify and deliver continuous improvements and automation to streamline PSA workflows
Maintain configuration documentation so the Certinia setup is transparent and supportable Data, Security & System Health
Manage user provisioning, licences, profiles, and permissions for Certinia users
Run data quality checks, imports, and validation, and support periodic backups
Monitor queues, background jobs, and system health; review audit trails and resolve access/permission issues Collaboration & Support
Work closely with the Salesforce Architects, Developers, and Admins - flagging where custom development is needed and handing off cleanly rather than building it yourself
Provide day-to-day support and training to Certinia/PSA users across the business
Support sandbox management, release cycles, and UAT for Certinia-related changes What We're Looking For Required
5+ years of hands-on experience administering and configuring Certinia (FinancialForce), with strong functional depth in PSA
Proven track record as the owner of a Certinia/PSA environment - not just supporting it, but shaping and improving it
Firm grasp of core Salesforce concepts (data model, security model, flows,
validation rules, sharing) - enough to work confidently within a Salesforce team, without needing to write code
Certinia PSA certification
Ability to translate business processes into clean, maintainable Certinia configuration
Sound data management practices: imports, deduplication, backups, and quality controls
Clear communicator able to support and train business users and collaborate with a technical team Nice to Have
Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
Experience assessing and managing Certinia seasonal releases and their business impact
Exposure to integrations between Certinia/Salesforce and finance or ERP systems
Basic reporting/analytics or SOQL familiarity for data validation Why you should decide on us
