About the role We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our in-office team and build scalable, high-impact backend systems. In this role, you will design and build scalable backend architecture and AI-powered product features, shipping code to production that's used by thousands of businesses globally. This is a high-ownership role where your work will have visible, real-world impact. Responsibilities

This is a high-ownership individual contributor role Lead and take full responsibility for the backend development of our product

Build robust APIs and backend logic that power real-time experiences for thousands of e-commerce businesses

Work on AI-driven features and contribute to building an AI-first product experience

Contribute to database design, performance optimisation, and overall system architecture

Drive the product forward by owning everything from architectural decisions to final deployment

Collaborate openly with your team, communicate proactively, and take pride in your work. This is not a solo journey Qualifications Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of backend development, APIs,



and scalable systems

Customer-Centric Approach: A genuine passion for helping customers succeed and a strong commitment to providing outstanding service

AI & Integrations: Interest or exposure to AI concepts, APIs (OpenAI, etc.), or automation workflows
