Role Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to take technical ownership of core backend systems. You’ll design scalable architectures, mentor junior engineers, and help shape how InstaCloset’s platform evolves as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and own scalable backend services using Java & Spring Boot

Design robust RESTful APIs used by consumer and retailer apps

Optimize PostgreSQL/MySQL schemas, queries, and performance

Lead and evolve microservices architecture as the platform scales

Implement and review security best practices (JWT, OAuth, RBAC)

Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews

Collaborate with product and leadership on technical decisions

Ensure system reliability, performance, and maintainability

Required Skills & Qualifications





Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot

Proven experience designing production-grade REST APIs

Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)

Experience with microservices and distributed systems

Strong grasp of backend security and scalability

Experience mentoring engineers or owning backend modules

Comfortable in fast-moving startup environments

Nice to Have

Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or logistics platforms

Cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Exposure to monitoring, logging, and CI/CD pipelines
