Role Description The Senior Associate Lawyer will work full time in office at VaRam Legal’s Chennai office. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and finalizing legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and opinions. The associate will conduct legal research, analyze case laws and statutes, and prepare detailed notes and case strategies.

Day-to-day responsibilities include appearing before appropriate forums and courts, coordinating with clients for case updates and instructions, and supporting senior lawyers in dispute resolution, real estate transactions, intellectual property matters, and corporate advisory work. The role also requires maintaining organized case files, tracking deadlines,



and contributing to internal knowledge sharing and legal updates.

Qualifications Solid foundation in civil law, commercial law, and litigation, with the ability to handle dispute resolution matters effectively.

Experience or strong interest in real estate law, including property documentation, due diligence, and transactional support.

Exposure to intellectual property law, such as trademarks, copyrights, and related advisory or enforcement work.

Capability in corporate advisory, including contract review, corporate compliance, and general business law support.

Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and clear written communication.

Confident oral advocacy skills for court appearances, client meetings, and internal presentations.

Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized institution; enrollment with the Bar Council and eligibility to practice.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage multiple matters, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Professional integrity, client-centric mindset, and willingness to learn across diverse practice areas.

Prior experience (2 -5 years) in a law firm or litigation practice in Chennai or similar jurisdiction .
