Role Description

As a Senior AI Governance & DevOps Engineer, you will create and manage a secure, scalable, and automated foundation for enterprise AI delivery across Arthrex. This role combines elements of AI governance, DevOps, LLMOps, cloud engineering, security, AI evaluation, and hands-on software delivery.

You will support ARTI, Arthrex’s in-house AI assistant, and develop reusable AI framework capabilities for teams throughout the organization. Key responsibilities include continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) automation, environment synchronization, infrastructure as code, governance guardrails, observability, AI evaluation, and secure production operations.

Additionally, this role directly contributes to sprint delivery by addressing technical user stories, fixing bugs, conducting code reviews, and troubleshooting deployment, integration, performance, and environment issues. You will translate cybersecurity, compliance, and architecture requirements into practical automated controls while enhancing scalability, resilience, developer experience, and release readiness.

Skill Requirements

Primary Skills (Must Have Skills)

- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, software engineering, MLOps, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.
- Strong Azure experience with infrastructure-as-code, automated deployments, setting management, and secure software delivery.
- Practical experience with AI, GenAI, LLM applications, MLOps, or LLMOps workflows.




- Understanding of RAG, prompt management, embeddings, vector databases, AI orchestration, and evaluation workflows.
- Hands-on development capability including user stories, bug fixes, code reviews, troubleshooting, and sprint delivery.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, Terraform or Bicep, Docker, Kubernetes, API management, monitoring, and secrets management.
- Knowledge of AI governance, enterprise security, compliance, secure SDLC, access controls, logging, monitoring, and production support.
- Strong ownership, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

SECONDARY SKILLS (GOOD TO HAVE) :

- Experience with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Search, Copilot Studio, Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise AI platforms, shared AI services, or reusable AI frameworks.
- Familiarity with responsible AI, AI risk management, model governance, audit evidence, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience with LLM evaluation pipelines, prompt regression, retrieval quality,



hallucination or safety checks, and human-in-the-loop review.
- Experience with AI observability, cost and token monitoring, model performance dashboards, and incident management.
- Familiarity with data privacy, data classification, PII/PHI handling, and agile delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Data Science, AI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud/platform engineering, software engineering, MLOps, LLMOps, or AI solution delivery.
- Proven enterprise experience with cloud platforms, automated deployments, secure delivery, production support, and agile teams.
- Ability to collaborate with AI engineers, developers, cybersecurity, compliance, architecture, product owners, and business stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL NOTES (IF ANY) Success in this role means AI solutions are deployed reliably, securely, and repeatedly across environments. ARTI and other AI capabilities should benefit from stronger automation, governance, monitoring, evaluation, and operational stability.

The role will help development teams move faster through hands-on delivery support and reusable AI framework components, while converting governance requirements into automated technical controls. The goal is to scale AI responsibly across Arthrex without compromising security, compliance, observability, quality, or production readiness.
