Job Title: Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic SOC Manager to lead our 24x7 Security Operations Center. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the SOC, managing a team of security analysts, and ensuring the rapid detection, investigation, and response to cybersecurity threats. This role requires a deep understanding of regional compliance regulations, a proven track record of managing critical security incidents, and the ability to build and scale security operations from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

SOC Strategy & Architecture:

- Design and Propose SOC Setup Plans: Develop a comprehensive, multi-phase roadmap for establishing, scaling, and maturing SOC operations. Evaluate, select, and architect the deployment of cutting-edge security technologies (including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and Threat Intelligence Platforms) ensuring they align with the organization's risk profile, budget, and long-term security strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Development:

- Application Customization & Integration: Collaborate closely with internal software development and IT engineering teams to build, customize, and integrate bespoke applications required for daily SOC operations. This includes defining requirements for custom API integrations, automating threat intelligence data feeds, and tailoring specialized monitoring dashboards to fit the unique technical environment of the organization.

Governance, Compliance & Regulatory Reporting:

- Regulatory Compliance Responses: Lead the development and submission of comprehensive compliance reports and responses to regional regulatory authorities (such as the NCA in Saudi Arabia, NESA in the UAE, or Central Bank regulations). Gather necessary technical evidence, ensure continuous alignment of SOC controls with mandated frameworks,



and act as the primary technical point of contact during regulatory audits and inquiries.

Leadership & Team Management:

- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of SOC analysts (Tier 1-3) and incident responders.
- Create clear career progression paths and provide ongoing training to upskill team members.
- Manage shift schedules and resource allocation to ensure continuous 24x7 monitoring and operational readiness.

Security Operations & Incident Response:

- Serve as the primary incident commander during major security events, leading the triage, containment, and recovery processes.
- Ensure adherence to established Incident Response (IR) plans, runbooks, and escalation protocols.
- Monitor and analyze threat trends, providing actionable intelligence to improve the organization's security posture.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with proven experience in a SOC leadership, architecture, or management role.
- Strong hands-on experience with security operations technologies (SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, EDR).
- Demonstrated experience in architecting SOC environments and evaluating security vendor tools.
- Proven experience leading incident response efforts and managing high-severity cyber crises.
- In-depth knowledge of regional regulatory frameworks and experience managing compliance audits.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between internal development teams and security operations.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is a strong plus/required depending on specific location and company culture).

Preferred:

- Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCIA, or equivalent.
- Experience working within the [Insert specific industry, e.g., Financial Services, Energy, Government] sector in the Gulf region.
- Familiarity with cloud security operations and managed security services (MSSP) environments.
