8–10 years of experience in Demand Planning / Supply Chain Planning

2 years hands-on experience in SAP IBP Demand including configuration

Solid understanding of

Planning areas and planning operators

Key figure modelling

Forecast models and algorithms

Time series forecasting concepts

IBP Excel UI and Fiori

Good knowledge of integration: CPIDS, SAP DI, S/4HANA, ECC data structures

Functional Skills

Strong knowledge of demand planning processes and KPIs

Experience in Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Pharma, Retail or similar industries

Ability to translate business requirements into system design

Soft Skills

Strong communication and client-facing skills

Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

Excellent documentation and presentation skills

Preferred / Nice to Have:

SAP IBP certification (DP or End-to-End IBP)

Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain modules

Understanding of broader IBP modules (S&OP;, Inventory, Response & Supply)

The IBP Demand Planning Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Demand Planning solutions for clients.

The role involves collaborating with business teams to understand demand planning processes, designing future-state models, performing system configuration, integrating data from source systems, and driving successful adoption of the IBP Demand module.





Key Responsibilities

1.

Solution

Design & Implementation

Lead or support SAP IBP Demand Planning implementations, enhancements, and rollouts

Conduct requirement workshops with business stakeholders to capture forecasting, statistical modeling, and demand review processes

Design process flows, planning layouts, key figures, planning levels, and forecasting models

Configure IBP Demand Planning functionalities including:

Statistical forecasting

Forecast automation

Product lifecycle management (launch/phase-out)

Promotion planning and causal factors

Collaborate with technical teams for CPIDS, SAP DI integration, and data mapping

Business Process

Expertise

Provide subject matter expertise in end-to-end demand planning processes:

Baseline forecasting

Consensus demand planning

Collaborative demand planning

Sales input and S&OP; cycle alignment

Identify process improvement opportunities and design best-practice planning workflows

- Analytics & Forecasting

Build and optimize statistical forecast models within IBP

Generate and analyze forecast accuracy metrics (MAPE, Bias, etc.)

Recommend improvements based on forecast performance results

Stakeholder

Management

Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, and Finance teams to drive consensus planning

Conduct user training, UAT sessions, and change management activities

Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders for planning transformation

5.

Project

Execution

Develop project documentation (BRDs, FS, test scripts, configuration documents)

Support cutover, go-live, and hypercare phases

Adhere to project timelines, quality processes, and delivery standards
