Our client is a leading global technology-driven organization undergoing large-scale digital transformation and SAP modernization initiatives. They are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to support and optimize enterprise SAP landscapes, including SAP S/4HANA environments, cloud transformation projects, system upgrades, and operational excellence initiatives within a global delivery model.

Role Overview

As an SAP Basis Consultant, you are responsible for the technical operation,

stability, and continuous optimization of SAP systems. You ensure high availability, performance, security, and compliance of SAP landscapes across development, quality, and production environments. You act as a technical advisor to

SAP application teams, infrastructure teams, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

 Operate, monitor, and maintain SAP systems (e.g. ECC, S/4HANA, BW,

Solution Manager)

 Administer SAP system landscapes (DEV/QA/PROD), including transports and system copies

 Manage SAP kernel upgrades, patches, and support packages

 Monitor system performance, availability, and background jobs

 Handle incident, problem, and change management in line with ITIL processes

 Perform system installations, upgrades, and migrations (onpremise and/or cloud)

 Ensure SAP security compliance, including:

o User and authorization administration o Role transport support o System access and audit preparation





 Collaborate with SAP consultants, developers, and infrastructure teams

 Support and coordinate external service providers

 Maintain technical documentation and operational guidelines

 Participate in projects such as SAP upgrades, cloud transitions, or landscape harmonization

Required Skills and Qualifications

 Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

 5+ years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant / Administrator

 Strong knowledge of:

o SAP system architecture o Transports (STMS)

o Background job management (SM36/SM37)

o System monitoring (e.g. ST22, SM21, SM66)

 Experience with SAP on Windows/Linux

 Basic knowledge of databases (e.g. HANA, Oracle, SQL Server)

 Understanding of ITIL-based processes

 Robust analytical and troubleshooting skills

 Reliable, structured, and solution-oriented working style

 Very good English skills (written and spoken)

Nice to Have / Additional Skills

 Experience with SAP S/4HANA conversions

 Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager

 Experience with SAP Cloud / SAP RISE / Hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP)

 Automation or scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell, Bash)

 SAP certifications in Basis or related areas

 Experience in international or global SAP environments

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
