Position: SAP ABAP

Experience: 4 to 12 years

Location: Trivandrum Must-Have Core ABAP Fundamentals

ABAP Dictionary (DDIC): Creating tables, views, data elements, and structures.

Classical Programming: Mastering Reports, Module Pool (Dialog) programming, and Subroutines.

Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP): Writing code using classes, interfaces, inheritance, and polymorphism

Modern S/4HANA & Cloud Skills

Core Data Services (CDS) Views: Building data models directly in the database layer.

ABAP Programming Model for SAP Fiori: Developing transactional apps optimized for modern UIs.

Integration & APIs

Legacy Integration: Working with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and ALE for older system connections. Enhancements & Debugging

Enhancement Framework: Implementing BadIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Implicit Enhancements.

Performance Tuning: Using SAT (Runtime Analysis) and ST05 (Performance Trace) to optimize code.

Debugging Tools:



Finding errors using the Current ABAP Debugger and Eclipse-based troubleshooting.

Development

Environment

ABAP Development Tools (ADT): Writing code in Eclipse, which has replaced SE80 for modern development.

Good-to-Have

SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform): Writing clean, decoupled ABAP code in cloud environments

OData Services: Creating and consuming REST-based APIs via Gateway (SEGW).

ABAP RESTful Application Programming (RAP): The standard model for building cloud-ready apps. Responsibility / Expectations

1 Experience working with Implementation

2 Experience working with SAP support projects - ECC
