We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ABAP Developer with a strong background in OOPs ABAP, CDS Views, and AMDP. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Retail business processes, be able to translate functional requirements into technical solutions, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance custom ABAP applications using OOPs ABAP.
- Develop and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) Views and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide support for existing custom developments and resolve any issues or bugs.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices in ABAP development.
- Ensure performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs and database access.
- Maintain documentation related to design, development, and testing activities.
- Work in Agile/Scrum environments and contribute to sprint planning and execution.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP (OOPs ABAP).
- Expertise in CDS Views and AMDP development.
- Good understanding of SAP Modules related to Retail (e.g., MM, SD, IS-Retail).
- Ability to analyze functional specs and develop productive technical solutions.
- Excellent debugging and performance tuning skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to S/4HANA environment.
- Experience with Fiori Elements or SAP UI5 is a plus.
- Prior experience working in the Retail industry.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
