Job Summary

The Sales Manager - Pune and Rest of Maharashtra is responsible for driving commercial growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening customer partnerships across the assigned territory. This role will focus on building a solid sales funnel, increasing market share, and leading strategic engagements with key accounts and stakeholders. This position is part of the Sales/Commercial team located in Mumbai and will be fully remote.

This position is part of the Sales/Commercial organization and reports to the Regional Sales Manager - West.

Responsibilities

- Drive revenue growth and market expansion across the full Leica Biosystems portfolio within Clinical Diagnostics and Life Sciences segments
- Build and manage a robust sales funnel, ensuring strong pipeline visibility and conversion
- Develop and execute territory and key account strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead strategic customer engagements, including contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and multi-site partnerships
- Drive competitive conversions and expand portfolio adoption within the installed base
- Accelerate upselling and cross-selling across Histology, Advanced Staining, and Digital Pathology solutions
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and institutional stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Service, Applications, Finance,



and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer value
- Manage and develop channel partners/distributors to maximize regional coverage and performance
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to refine go-to-market strategies
- Ensure accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene (SFDC), including win/loss analysis and opportunity tracking

Requirements

- Bachelors / Masters in field of Life Sciences/ Healthcare with a minimum of 8+ years of commercial experience in Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Healthcare, or Life Sciences.
- Experience in a combination of IVD instrumentation and consumables business and exposure to government tenders process will be added advantage
- Work experience in CRMs like SFDC
- Strong team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills with a scientific approach for the customers
- A commercially minded professional with a track record of success in the IVD /medical device/life sciences/diagnostic industry

Travel Requirements

- Ability to travel - 75% travel in month, within territory or locations
