Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Safety Officer role based in Thoothukudi.

The Safety

Officer is responsible for monitoring workplace conditions, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and implementing company safety policies and procedures. Daily tasks include conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits; identifying potential hazards; and recommending corrective actions. The role involves organizing and delivering safety training, maintaining safety records and documentation, and supporting accident and incident investigations.

Officer will collaborate with operations, management,



and security teams to promote a strong safety culture, minimize risk, and support continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge, including applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation and incident reporting, with the ability to analyze root causes and propose preventive measures.

Candidates should possess Safety Training and awareness program skills, including the ability to deliver engaging sessions and develop safety materials.

Candidates should possess Security awareness and coordination skills to support safe site operations and access control where required.

Relevant diploma or degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field, along with recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.

Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure environments, with familiarity in risk assessment and emergency response planning.

Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Ability to enforce safety standards fairly, maintain accurate documentation, and adapt to changing operational needs.
