OF NON-METALLIC (RTR) PIPING QC INSPECTOR
Job Summary:
Ensures that all piping fabrication, installation, testing, and documentation activities comply strictly with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), project specifications, Vendor Instructions and international codes. This role focuses on executing the Project Quality Plan, managing inspection test plans (ITPs), and achieving client acceptance across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify all incoming non-metallic (RTR) piping materials, flanges, fittings, and gaskets against the Purchase Order (PO).
- Review Mill Test Certificates (MTC) to guarantee full material traceability and grade verification.
- Enforce material storage, handling, and preservation rules according to Aramco standards and vendor's instructions.
- Perform fit-up, alignment, and joint preparation inspections prior to lamination/bonding.
- Monitor pipe stringing, line routing, bending, and pipe bedding.
- Check flange joint alignments, correct gasket selections, and bolt-torquing values.
- Compile and review hydrotest packages, ensuring correct limits, isolation, and vents are mapped out.
- Generate pre-test punch lists to transparent out installation gaps before pressure tests.
- Witness pressure tests to verify systemic integrity.
- Supervise line cleaning, flushing, drying, and full system reinstatement post-test.
- Prepare and submit daily Inspection Requests (RFI) via QMIS or the required quality tracking systems.
- Identify non-conformances, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and drive root-cause corrections.
- Maintain accurate inspection checklists (SAIC) SATRs and logs.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES)
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mech. Engineering.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in oil & gas projects (Aramco experience preferred).
- Proven track record in inspecting non-metallic (RTR) Piping material and piping/pipeline site activities with valid Saudi Aramco approval (if applicable).
- Valid Aramco CBT passed or SAPID approval code non-metallic (RTR) piping.
- Deep technical mastery of ASME, API, SAES and testing procedures and guidelines.
- Expert proficiency in reading isometric drawings, P&IDs;, and line schedules.
