Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise and ISP routers.
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability of routing infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot routing issues related to connectivity, latency, packet loss, and bandwidth utilization.
- Configure and manage routing protocols such as:

- BGP

- OSPF

- EIGRP

- RIP

- Static Routing
- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, VRFs, MPLS, QoS, NAT, ACLs, and VPNs.
- Perform router firmware/IOS upgrades and patch management.
- Handle incidents, service requests, problem management, and change management following ITIL processes.
- Work with ISPs and internal teams to resolve network outages.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Create and maintain network documentation,



diagrams, and SOPs.
- Participate in on-call support and maintenance activities.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and VPN technologies.
- Hands-on experience with routing protocols:

- BGP

- OSPF

- EIGRP

- MPLS
- Experience with router configuration and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or Zabbix.
- Understanding of QoS, ACLs, and network security best practices.
- Experience with packet analysis tools such as Wireshark.
- Positive understanding of ITIL processes.
