responsibilities Role Summary Looking for a hands-on Rocket Software Enterprise Server professional to provide L1/L2/L3 support for rehosted mainframe applications. The candidate will be responsible for Enterprise Server administration, production support, troubleshooting, environment maintenance, and supporting COBOL/JCL-based workloads.

Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain Rocket Software Enterprise Server environments. Create, configure, and manage Enterprise Server regions, JES, Catalog Services, Fileshare, CAS, and MFDS. Build, maintain, backup, recover, and troubleshoot catalog.dat repositories.

Perform region startup, shutdown, recovery, cloning, refreshes, and patch upgrades. Monitor and troubleshoot Enterprise Server, JES, Fileshare, Catalog, and runtime issues. Support spool management, housekeeping activities, INTRDR, and cross-region batch processing.

Troubleshoot batch abends, JCL failures, COBOL runtime issues, VSAM access problems, and file contention issues. Support application deployments, migrations, SIT/UAT activities, and production cutovers.



Perform root cause analysis and support disaster recovery activities.

Maintain operational and recovery runbooks.

Required Skills Rocket Software Enterprise Server ESCWA, CAS, MFDS Administration JES Administration Catalog Services (catalog.dat) Fileshare Administration COBOL, JCL, VSAM Batch & Online Region Support Linux Administration Shell Scripting Preferred Experience Mainframe Rehosting / Modernization Projects Enterprise Server Setting Setup from Scratch Catalog Rebuild and Recovery COBOL Compile, Build, and Deployment Processes Cross-Region Batch Processing Enterprise Server Upgrades and Patch Implementations Production Support for Large-Scale Rehosted Workloads Candidate Should Be Able To Build and configure Enterprise Server environments independently. Create and recover catalog.dat, JES, Fileshare, and MFDS repositories.

Troubleshoot Enterprise

Server infrastructure and rehosted application issues. Analyze COBOL/JCL/VSAM-related production problems. Support deployments, migrations, and production cutovers. Independently handle L1/L2/L3 incidents and platform recovery activities. .
