Note: All roles involve work on defence programmes. Indian citizenship is required. Roles involve periodic travel to field trial locations (Army/Navy establishments across India).
Team: Autonomy | Experience: 2–5 years | Type: Full-time, New Delhi
About the Role A generalist autonomy engineer comfortable moving across the full robotics stack — planning, perception, control, localization, and systems integration. You'll work on whichever part of the stack the mission needs, across multiple UAV programmes simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Develop and integrate autonomy software across path planning, perception, state estimation/localization, and control modules in ROS 2.
Build robust middleware, logging, telemetry, and data pipelines connecting flight computers, ground stations, and simulation.
Implement localization solutions combining GNSS, VIO,
and other aiding sources; handle sensor dropouts gracefully.
Write production-quality C++/Python with tests, CI, and clear documentation.
Debug full-system issues spanning firmware, drivers, networking, and application layers.
Support simulation infrastructure and field trials (data collection, log triage, on-site fixes).
Required Qualifications
B.Tech/M.Tech in CS, Robotics, or related field.
2+ years of robotics software development with ROS/ROS 2 on real hardware.
Strong C++ (14/17) and Python.
Working knowledge across at least three of: path planning, perception, control, state estimation, mapping.
Comfort with Linux systems, Git, Docker, and embedded compute platforms (Jetson/RPi class).
Preferred
UAV/drone experience (PX4/ArduPilot/MAVLink).
Experience with real-time systems, DDS, or networking for multi-vehicle systems.
