– Retail Operations & Facilities Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, technically competent, and detail-oriented Retail Operations & Facilities Manager to oversee the overall maintenance and operational efficiency of our retail store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless day-to-day store operations by managing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, coordinating maintenance activities, supervising vendors, and maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-functioning facility. This role requires a hands-on skilled who can quickly identify and resolve operational issues, implement preventive maintenance strategies, and drive initiatives focused on energy efficiency and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, lighting, DG sets, and other critical infrastructure.

- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of store infrastructure, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance, repairs, annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), and project execution while ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Monitor facility performance, identify operational issues, and implement effective corrective actions to maintain optimal functionality.
- Drive energy conservation and cost-saving initiatives by monitoring utility consumption and recommending process improvements.
- Manage asset maintenance,



inventory of maintenance materials, and proper disposal of scrap in accordance with company guidelines.
- Ensure all statutory requirements, safety regulations, fire protection systems, and compliance standards are maintained at all times.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, equipment history, and vendor documentation.
- Support store management in creating a safe, clean, and efficient environment for employees and customers.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and coordinate necessary corrective maintenance to minimize operational disruptions.

Required Qualifications

* Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail Operations, Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, or MEP Operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Electrical systems
- HVAC systems
- Plumbing systems
- Building maintenance
- Fire safety systems
- Preventive maintenance practices
- Experience in vendor management, contract coordination, and facility operations.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, statutory compliance, and maintenance documentation.
