Job Summary The Retail HR Manager is responsible for managing all HR functions across retail showrooms, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, attendance, payroll coordination, compliance, training, and employee relations. The role ensures adequate staffing and supports business growth through effective people management.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Staffing

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for showroom positions.
- Source candidates through job portals, consultancies, referrals, and campus drives.
- Conduct interviews and coordinate with department heads for hiring.
- Ensure timely onboarding of current employees.

Employee Relations

- Address employee grievances and resolve workplace issues.
- Foster a positive work culture and maintain employee satisfaction.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends.

Performance Management

- Coordinate employee performance reviews.
- Monitor KPIs and support managers in performance improvement plans.
- Recommend promotions, transfers, and career development initiatives.

Attendance & Payroll

- Monitor attendance, leave, and shift schedules.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with the accounts/payroll team.
- Verify overtime, incentives, and attendance records.

HR Operations

- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Handle employee confirmations, transfers, and disciplinary actions.

Training & Development

- Identify training needs for showroom staff.




- Organize product knowledge, customer service, and sales training programs.
- Track training effectiveness and employee development.

Compliance

- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Maintain HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
- Support internal and external HR audits.

HR Analytics & Reporting

- Prepare recruitment, attrition, attendance, and manpower reports.
- Analyze HR metrics and recommend improvements.
- Present HR reports to management on a regular basis.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/MSW in HR is preferred.

Experience

- Minimum 8 years of HR experience in the Retail, Furniture, Electronics, FMCG, or Consumer Durables industry.
- Minimum 4 years in a managerial role.

Required Skills

- Strong recruitment and talent acquisition skills.
- Knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience with HRMS and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple retail locations.
