Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Residential Solar Project Manager to lead and manage rooftop solar projects from project handover through commissioning and net meter activation. The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of residential solar project execution, net metering processes , and DISCOM coordination . This role requires close collaboration with customers, internal teams, vendors, and utility authorities to ensure timely project completion and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete lifecycle of residential rooftop solar projects from project initiation through commissioning and net meter activation.
- Coordinate site surveys, engineering, permitting, procurement, installation scheduling, inspections, and project closeout.
- Lead the end-to-end net metering application process , including document preparation, application submission, follow-up, inspections, and approvals.
- Coordinate with DISCOM officials , electrical inspectors, and government authorities to obtain approvals, synchronization, and net meter installation.
- Ensure compliance with DISCOM guidelines, state electricity regulations, and local statutory requirements.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively resolve delays related to approvals, inspections,



logistics, or installation.
- Coordinate with installation teams, vendors, logistics partners, and subcontractors to ensure timely material delivery and project execution.
- Track project budgets, timelines, and milestones while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with company standards and applicable electrical codes.
- Provide regular project updates to customers and internal stakeholders while ensuring an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including permits, net metering applications, inspection reports, commissioning records, and project closeout documents.
- Identify opportunities to improve project execution, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–5 years of experience managing residential rooftop solar projects.
- Strong knowledge of net metering regulations, application procedures, and utility interconnection processes.
- Hands-on experience coordinating with DISCOMs for approvals, inspections, synchronization, and net meter installation.
- Good understanding of rooftop solar PV systems, electrical drawings, and installation practices.
- Experience in project planning, scheduling, procurement, and contractor management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Knowledge of state electricity regulations, CEIG requirements (where applicable), and local building regulations is preferred.
