Role Overview :
As an ML Research Scientist, you will be at the forefront of developing next-generation retrieval and extraction systems that power our core product offerings.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams of data engineers and product managers to translate complex research concepts into scalable production models.
Your day-to-day will involve architecting advanced NLP pipelines, refining retrieval strategies, and optimizing graph-based data structures to ensure high-precision information delivery.
This role is pivotal in shaping the technical roadmap of our platform, directly impacting how our clients interact with and extract value from massive, heterogeneous datasets.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement advanced Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks to enhance the accuracy and context-awareness of automated response systems for our enterprise clients.
- Engineer sophisticated information extraction pipelines using Named Entity Recognition (NER) to transform unstructured text into structured, queryable data formats.
- Develop and optimize high-performance embedding models and lexical search algorithms to improve the relevance and speed of information retrieval across large-scale document repositories.
- Architect and maintain robust Knowledge Graphs and graph database schemas to map complex relationships between data entities, facilitating deeper analytical insights.
- Conduct rigorous experiments and performance evaluations on ML models to ensure they meet the latency and accuracy requirements of high-traffic production environments.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to deploy research-grade code into production, ensuring seamless integration with existing data infrastructure.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in building and deploying Machine Learning models using Python, with a deep understanding of modern deep learning frameworks.
- Proven ability to design and implement Natural Language Processing solutions, specifically focusing on Information Retrieval and extraction tasks.
- Strong technical proficiency in working with Knowledge Graphs and graph databases to model complex data dependencies.
- Hands-on experience with RAG architectures, including the development of vector-based search systems and embedding optimization techniques.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively within a collaborative, research-oriented team environment.
- A Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field is preferred, though exceptional candidates with a strong research portfolio will be considered.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a hybrid setting from our Mumbai office, demonstrating the adaptability required to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven setting.
- 4 to 7 years of professional experience in developing and scaling production-grade machine learning systems.
