Reports to: Head – R&D; / Innovation ROLE SUMMARY At TruNativ, innovation isn't about launching more products, it's about creating better nutrition backed by science. As the R&D; Manager, you will own the complete product development lifecycle, from identifying emerging nutrition trends and clinically backed ingredients to formulating, validating, commercializing, and continuously improving products.

This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical expertise, commercial thinking, and execution excellence. You will work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and OEM partners to develop clean-label, consumer-first products that are differentiated in performance, taste, and efficacy.





Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently deliver innovative, commercially viable products with speed, scientific integrity, and exceptional consumer experience.

Key Responsibilities: 1.

Product

Innovation & Formulation

Lead end-to-end formulation development across proteins, collagen, functional nutrition, superfoods, sugar alternatives, and wellness products.

Develop clean-label, science-backed formulations with superior taste, efficacy, stability, and consumer experience.

Scout emerging ingredients, technologies, and global nutrition trends to drive innovation.

Optimize existing products for performance, cost, and manufacturability. 2.

Current Product

Development (NPD)

Own the complete product lifecycle from concept and formulation to pilot trials, commercialization, and launch.

Deliver multiple NPD projects on time while balancing quality, speed, and business objectives.

Translate consumer insights into differentiated, market-ready products. 3.

Scientific

Excellence & Compliance

Ensure formulations comply with FSSAI and relevant global regulatory standards.

Lead stability studies, sensory evaluations, shelf-life validation, and product performance testing.

Develop technical documentation, product specifications, and scientifically substantiated claims.

- Manufacturing & Supplier Management

Partner with OEM/ODM manufacturers for technology transfer, scale-up, and commercial production.





Evaluate and qualify ingredients and suppliers based on quality, functionality, innovation, and cost.

Drive formulation troubleshooting, manufacturing consistency, and cost optimization.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Packaging, Procurement, and Manufacturing to accelerate product launches.

Ensure product-pack compatibility and seamless commercialization.

Provide technical expertise to support product positioning and consumer education. 6.

Innovation

Leadership

Build a robust innovation pipeline aligned with TruNativ's growth strategy.

Benchmark global nutrition trends and identify next-generation product opportunities.

Mentor junior team members and establish best practices in formulation, validation, and commercialization.

What We're Looking For: Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.

7–10 years of hands-on experience in Nutraceuticals, Functional Foods, Dietary Supplements, or Sports Nutrition.

Proven expertise in developing proteins, collagen, functional nutrition, superfoods, fiber, sweeteners, and wellness products.

Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, formulation science, stability, and product commercialization.

Experience managing multiple NPD projects from concept to commercial launch.

Deep knowledge of FSSAI regulations, food safety standards, and quality systems.

Experience working with OEM/ODM manufacturing partners and technology transfer.

Strong analytical, scientific, and problem-solving capabilities. Immediate joiners or candidates serving their notice period are preferred.
