We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant Intern to support a rural mental health research and awareness project in Sitapur/Machhrehta, Uttar Pradesh. The role will involve field-based data collection, community engagement, research documentation, analysis, and report preparation. Key Responsibilities

Assist with surveys, interviews, focus groups, and field data collection.

Support community awareness sessions on mental health, youth wellbeing, alcohol dependency, and suicide prevention.

Help organise workshops with schools, women’s groups, ASHA workers, and community stakeholders.

Enter, clean, organise, and analyse research data.

Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and awareness materials.

Support service mapping and referral pathway documentation.

Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical research practices.

Travel locally for project-related fieldwork.

Support A two-wheeler/scooty will be provided for local field travel.

Candidate must know how to ride a scooty/two-wheeler confidently.

Local conveyance/project travel expenses will be covered. Qualifications

Pursuing or completed degree in Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, Education, or related field.

Strong interest in mental health, rural health, community work, or psychological research.

Good communication skills in Hindi; English desirable.

Basic knowledge of surveys, interviews, data collection, or research methods.

Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Forms, or similar tools.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and ethical practice. Salary/Stipend

₹15,000–₹25,000 per month, depending on qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role. Desirable

Experience in community fieldwork.

Knowledge of mental health, alcohol dependency, suicide prevention, or neurodiversity.

Experience working with rural communities, schools, NGOs, or special populations.
