Role Description The Research and Development Intern will support experimental work and process development related to sustainable battery recycling in a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with laboratory experiments, preparing samples, operating basic lab equipment, and following standard operating procedures. The intern will help collect and analyze data, document experimental results,



and contribute to internal reports and presentations.

The role also involves conducting literature research on battery recycling technologies, critical mineral recovery methods, and environmental best practices. The intern will collaborate with R&D; team members, participate in technical discussions, and support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, efficiency, and process design.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Research and Development (R&D;) and Research skills relevant to materials, chemistry, or energy systems.

Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for data interpretation, problem-solving, and process evaluation.

Candidates should possess practical Laboratory Skills, including safe handling of materials, basic instrumentation, and adherence to lab protocols.

Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for documenting findings, preparing reports, and collaborating with team members.

Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

Familiarity with electrochemistry, batteries, or recycling processes is an advantage.

Ability to follow safety guidelines, work methodically, and learn new techniques quickly.

Interest in sustainability, clean energy, and circular economy solutions.
