About the Role

Rubiscape operates an Agile Release Train (ART) that synchronises multiple Scrum teams delivering across RubiFlow, RubiStudio, RubiSight, RubiAI, RubiThings, and Business Workbench in a single integrated cadence.

The Release Train

Engineer (RTE) is the chief Scrum Master for this ART — responsible for facilitating Programme Increment Planning, coaching teams on Protected principles, and relentlessly removing impediments that stand between Rubiscape engineers and delivering Decision Intelligence to Fortune 500 enterprises. This is one of the most strategically significant delivery roles at Rubiscape, combining deep SAFe expertise with genuine servant-leadership at scale.

Key Responsibilities

· Serve as the ART’s chief Scrum Master: facilitate PI Planning events, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and ART Sync ceremonies for all Rubiscape engineering teams.

· Coach and mentor Scrum Masters across the ART on SAFe practices, impediment escalation paths, and continuous improvement techniques specific to platform engineering.

· Own the ART programme board in Jira and Azure DevOps: maintain cross-team dependency visibility, track PI objectives, and report ART-level predictability metrics to engineering leadership.

· Identify and resolve systemic impediments — architectural dependencies between studios, environment bottlenecks, toolchain blockers, and organisational friction — with urgency and accountability.

· Drive ART-level capacity planning and velocity forecasting across all teams; produce rolling 3-PI horizon plans for senior leadership and enterprise customer commitments.

· Partner with Solution Architects and Product Management on Feature decomposition, enabler epics, and architectural runway planning to maintain Rubiscape’s 3× faster pipeline delivery promise.





· Champion a culture of Built-In Quality across the ART: coordinate with QA leads on automated testing standards, shift-left practices, and release readiness gate criteria.

Nice to Have

· SAFe Programme Consultant (SPC) certification or equivalent, enabling you to train and certify Scrum Masters and Product Owners within Rubiscape.

· Hands-on background as a software engineer, data engineer, or ML engineer — giving you credibility and context when coaching technical teams.

· Experience with Rubiscape-relevant deployment contexts: SaaS, BYOC, hybrid, on-premises, or air-gap enterprise software delivery.

· Familiarity with OKR frameworks and the ability to connect ART-level PI objectives to company-level business outcomes.

Requirements

Requirements

· SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification with 5+ years of experience in SAFe or equivalent scaled agile delivery environments.

· Proven experience facilitating PI Planning events for ARTs of 50+ engineers across multiple teams and organisational functions.

· Deep knowledge of Jira and Azure DevOps at programme level: ART boards, dependency tracking, PI objective scoring, and predictability reporting.

· Strong coaching and facilitation skills — able to drive alignment among engineering, product, architecture, and operations stakeholders in high-pressure planning scenarios.

Experience managing cross-team dependencies in a complex SaaS platform with multiple integrated components and enterprise-grade release obligations.
