Central University of South Bihar, Gaya, Bihar, India invites applications for Faculty Position in CUSB from eligible and interested candidates.

About- Established under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Section 25 of 2009) as Central University of Bihar (CUB) and the name since changed by the Central Universities (Amendment) Act, 2014 to Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) is an institution of higher learning in the state of Bihar. With the motto, i.e. ‘Collective Reasoning’ the University has been conducting its academic and administrative activities from temporary premises in Patna and Gaya and looking forward to shifting to the permanent campus on a 300 acre plot of land at Panchanpur (near Gaya town).

Faculty Position in CUSB Research/Job Area- The positions cover, among others, the following broad and specialized areas:

- Agricultural Sciences: Agricultural Extension, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Entomology, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Economics, Livestock Production Management, Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Genetics and Plant Breeding.
- Mathematical and Computational Sciences: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science.
- Physical & Chemical Sciences: Physics, Chemistry.
- Earth & Life Sciences: Bioinformatics, Environmental Sciences, Life Science, Geography, Geology.
- Social Sciences & Policy: Economic Studies and Policy, Historical Studies and Archaeology.
- Human Sciences: Psychological Sciences.
- Law & Governance: Law and Governance; combined Political Science and Law post.
- Languages & Literature: English and Foreign Languages.
- Media & Communication: Mass Communication and Media.
- Management & Commerce: Commerce and Business Studies.
- Education & Physical Education: Teacher Education, Physical Education.

Location- Central University of South Bihar, Gaya, Bihar Eligibility/Qualification–

- Professor
- Academic Background: An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
- Research Output: At least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120.
- Experience:



A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in University/College or research experience at an equivalent level, with evidence of successfully guided doctoral candidates.
- Associate Professor
- Academic Background: A good academic record with a Ph.D. and a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.
- Research Output: A minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75.
- Experience: At least 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
- Assistant Professor (Teacher Education)
- Academic Background: Post-Graduate degree in the concerned liberal discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Zoology) and a B.Ed. degree, both with minimum 55% marks.
- Mandatory Requirement: Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC Regulations.

Job/Position Description- The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) , established under the Central Universities Act, 2009, invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) for various teaching positions on a regular basis. This recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies across multiple schools and departments to enhance the university’s academic and research excellence. The recruitment includes positions at three levels, with salaries as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC):

Selected Candidates Will Be Responsible For

- Delivering high-quality teaching and mentorship to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Conducting original research and publishing in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
- Contributing to curriculum development and departmental administrative duties.
- Engaging in university community service and academic outreach programs.
