About- The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu was inaugurated on 6th August 2016, and welcomed the first batch of students into the campus in Paloura, Jammu. In the initial phases, the establishment of IIT Jammu was done under the mentorship of IIT Delhi.

Eligibility/Qualification– Essential Qualification

- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
- First Class or equivalent in preceding degrees.
- Consistently good academic record throughout the academic career.

Experience Requirements Position Minimum Experience Professor 10 years of teaching/research/industry experience including 4 years as Associate Professor or equivalent Associate Professor 6 years of teaching/research/industry experience including 3 years as Assistant Professor or equivalent Assistant Professor Grade-I Minimum 3 years post-PhD experience in teaching/research/industry Assistant Professor Grade-II Candidates meeting all criteria except post-PhD experience requirement for Grade-I Reservation and age relaxation benefits will be applicable as per Government of India norms.

Pay Scale

Position Pay Level Basic Pay Professor Level 14A ₹1,59,100 per month Associate Professor Level 13A2 ₹1,39,600 per month Assistant Professor Grade-I Level 12 ₹1,01,500 per month Assistant Professor Grade-II Level 10/11 ₹70,900 per month (initial)

Additional allowances including HRA and other advantages will be provided as per Central Government rules and 7th CPC norms.
