• Manufacturing, Kurnool (IIITDMK) was announced in 2014 after receiving the assent of the President of India to the Institutes of Information Technology Act, 2014. MHRD fully funds IIITDM Kurnool. IIITDM Kurnool launched its academic program with the support of its mentor Institute, IITDM Kancheepuram (Tamil Nadu), on August 2015 from the Kancheepuram campus.

IIITDM Kurnool was accorded the status of Institute of National Importance. In 2015 the Andhra Pradesh government allocated an area of 151 acres for the establishment of a permanent campus in Kurnool. Faculty Positions at IIITDM Kurnool

Assistant

Professor (Grade II) – Level 11 (AGP: Rs. 7,000) PhD One year of post PhD experience. First class in UG and PG degrees. Good quality publications with at least two papers in Q1/Q2 Journals. One Patent.

Experience in industry or R&D; lab of repute. Preferably below 35 years for UR candidates with provision of GoI permissible age relaxation for categories. other Assistant Professor (Grade I) – Level 12 (AGP: Rs. 8,000) PhD Professional experience of three years after PhD or six years (not counting PhD enrolment period) after MTech. First class in UG and PG degrees.

Good quality publications with at least four papers in Q1/Q2 journals, out of which at least two outside PhD work. One externally funded sponsored project. One ongoing PhD supervision. One Patent.

Experience in industry or R&D; lab of repute. MTech, MSc, BTech project supervision on industrial problems. Preferably below 35 years for UR candidates with provision of GoI permissible age relaxation for other categories.

Associate

Professor – Level 13A2 (AGP: Rs. 9,500) PhD Qualified experience of six years after PhD or nine years total (not counting PhD enrolment period), out of which three years should be after PhD. Three years at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs. 8000 or equivalent in a reputed university, R&D; Lab or relevant industry. First class in UG and PG degrees. Good quality publications with at least twelve papers in Q1/Q2 journals, out of which at least four at the Assistant Professor Pay Level 12. One PhD guided as sole or principal supervisor. Two ongoing externally funded projects or one ongoing and one completed project. Two or more ongoing PhD students. One or more patents. Strong liaison with industry. Preferably below 45 years for UR candidates with provision of GoI permissible age relaxation for other categories. Professor – Level 14A (AGP: Rs. 10,500) PhD Professional experience of ten years after PhD or thirteen years of total experience (not counting PhD enrolment period), out of which seven years are to be after PhD and at least four years’ experience at Associate Professor level with AGP of Rs 9500 (pay level 13A2) or at least seven years at Associate Professor level with AGP of Rs 9000 (pay level 13A1) in an institution of repute.

First

Class in UG and PG degrees. Good quality publications with at least 20 papers in Q1/Q2/A/A* journals, out of which at least 10 at the Associate Professor Pay Level 13A2.

Three

PhD degrees guided in career as sole or principal supervisor. One high valued sponsored/ consultancy project. Three or more ongoing PhD students. One or more patents. Solid liaison with industry. Offering significant support to Institute administration. Preferably below 55 years for UR candidates and with provision of GoI permissible age relaxation for other categories.

Note i. In the case of CSE and ECE candidates, publications in A and A* conference proceeding will also be considered equal to journal publications. ii. In case of candidates having good number projects and/or patents, the number of required Q1/Q2 publications may be relaxed. iii. Candidates having PhD degree directly after BTech are also eligible and they should have 7.5 CGPA (or 70% marks) at UG Level

Mode of Selection for all posts: The applicants who have been shortlisted for positions Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor have to go through the selection process of (a) Teaching Demonstration (chalk and talk on any core course of the branch at the 2nd year BTech level for Engineering branches and at 1st year MSc/MA level for Sciences and Humanities) (b) Research presentation using a PPT and (c) Interview.
