Job Summary The Referral Sales Executive is responsible for driving business growth through doctor referrals and strategic relationship management. The role focuses on building a strong referral network, increasing patient referrals, promoting the hospital's specialties and consultants, and executing engagement programs to strengthen market presence and achieve revenue targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Revenue Generation
- Drive business growth through doctor referrals and achieve assigned revenue and referral targets.
- Ensure overall business contribution from Visiting Consultants (VCs) and doctor referral channels across various hospital services.
- Identify new referral opportunities and expand the hospital's referral network.
- Monitor referral trends and develop strategies to increase patient inflow.
Doctor Relationship Management
- Build and maintain robust relationships with referring doctors, clinics, nursing homes, and healthcare professionals.
- Regularly visit referral doctors to strengthen relationships and promote hospital services.
- Identify opportunities to collaborate with healthcare providers for long-term referral partnerships.
- Ensure consistent engagement with key referral partners to improve referral retention.
Market Development & Engagement Activities
- Activate assigned territories and peripheral markets through structured field visits and engagement initiatives.
- Plan and execute market development activities, including:
- Medical Camps
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programs
- Webinars
- Round Table Meetings
- Doctor Meet-ups
- Awareness Programs
- Organize and coordinate patient engagement initiatives such as:
- Baby Shower Programs
- Antenatal (ANC) Classes
- Physiotherapy Sessions
- Diet & Nutrition Sessions
- Women's Health Awareness Programs
Sales Coordination & Promotion
- Promote the hospital's specialties, consultants, clinical services, and healthcare programs to referring doctors and healthcare partners.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Sales team to increase awareness of hospital services and maximize referral opportunities.
- Work closely with clinical and operations teams to ensure seamless patient experience for referred cases.
Reporting & MIS
- Maintain accurate daily reports of sales calls, doctor visits, referrals, conversions, and engagement activities.
- Submit timely MIS reports as per the guidelines of the Regional Manager.
- Track referral conversions and provide regular updates on business performance.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and referral patterns to recommend business improvement strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Hospital Marketing, Referral Sales, Healthcare Business Development, or Medical Sales.
- Experience in doctor relationship management and referral marketing is preferred.
