Role Description The Recruiter role at Volunteer Yatra is a full-time, in office position based in Dehradun. The Recruiter will manage end-to-end recruitment for volunteers and internal hires, including sourcing candidates, screening profiles, conducting interviews, and coordinating selection processes.

This role involves building talent pipelines, maintaining relationships with educational institutions and partner organizations, and promoting Volunteer Yatra’s opportunities through online and offline channels.



The Recruiter will collaborate with the operations and community teams to understand role requirements, improve onboarding experiences, and ensure a positive journey for volunteers and staff. Regular responsibilities include updating candidate records, tracking recruitment metrics, and providing clear communication and support to applicants throughout the hiring process.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage candidates and stakeholders clearly and respectfully.
- Experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring processes.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple openings, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms, such as applicant tracking systems, job portals, and social media for outreach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with partners and institutions.
- Problem-solving mindset and customer-service orientation to support applicants and address concerns promptly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Interest in travel, volunteering, and community building; prior experience in the travel or social impact sector is an advantage.
