We are looking for a Quantity Surveyors who are experienced in Bar Bending Schedule (BBS), who resides in Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Preferably in Aminjikkarai Region). This is a full time role with flexible timing (Performance driven role rather than fixed timing) with the remuneration package between ₹2,15,000 - ₹3,25,000 per annum based on the skills & experience. The Bar Bending Scheduler (BBS) – Civil Engineering role, a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The role involves preparing detailed bar bending schedules from structural drawings, including calculation of quantities, bar lengths, cutting lists, and reinforcement details.

The Bar Bending

Scheduler coordinates with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure accurate implementation of reinforcement work and timely delivery of steel.



Daily tasks include verifying drawings against site conditions, checking rebar placement, updating quantity records, and identifying discrepancies or variations. The role also requires maintaining documentation, optimizing material usage to minimize wastage, supporting quality and safety standards, and providing regular progress reports to project management.

The selected candidates will serve the probationary period and undergo background verifications, health checkup, drug & alcohol test during the probation and performance review after the probation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

3 - 5 years of experience in Bar Bending Schedule and able to work autonomously.

Cross Reef won't involve in the Micro Management to keep the employees comfortable during their work. Hence, the candidate should be committed, reliable and loyal to the reporting manager.

Robust understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, reinforced concrete design concepts, and structural drawings interpretation.

Ability to prepare accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), perform quantity take-offs, and calculate reinforcement requirements from detailed drawings.

Attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills to identify errors, discrepancies, and opportunities for material optimization.

Knowledge of construction safety practices and quality standards related to reinforcement and concrete works.
