Job Summary The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system to ensure that all cutting tools meet customer specifications and industry standards. The role involves leading the quality team, reducing defects, improving processes, handling customer complaints, and ensuring continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control activities.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality standards.
- Monitor incoming, in-process, and final inspection of carbide and HSS cutting tools.
- Handle customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and other quality tools.
- Monitor product quality, rejection, rework, and customer returns.
- Prepare and analyze quality reports, KPIs, and inspection records.
- Ensure proper calibration of measuring instruments.
- Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Sales, and PPC to resolve quality issues.
- Drive Kaizen, 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives.




- Train and develop the quality team on inspection standards and quality systems.
- Maintain quality documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and inspection plans.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of cutting tool manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of carbide and HSS cutting tools.
- Experience in CNC tool manufacturing and grinding operations.
- Hands-on experience with Zoller Tool Presetter, profile projector, tool maker microscope, height gauge, micrometer, vernier caliper, bore gauge, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Good understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, CAPA, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and APQP.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems.

Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification in Quality Management is an added advantage.

Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a managerial role in the cutting tools industry.
