JOB PURPOSE To perform in-process and line inspection of machining and casting components, ensuring adherence to quality standards, engineering specifications, and control plans to achieve minimal rejection and zero-defect output

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Perform in-process and Line inspection of machining and casting components as per drawings and control plans

 Inspect critical dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and casting defects (porosity, cracks, blow holes, etc.)

 Use precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators

 Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

 Conduct first-off inspection (FAI) and line clearance before production start

 Monitor and control process quality to reduce rejection and rework

 Identify and report non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

 Maintain inspection records, reports, and traceability documentation

 Coordinate with machining and casting teams to resolve quality issues

 Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms,



and 5S practices

 Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor / Diploma Degree in Mechanical engineering or related field

EXPERIENCE Minimum of 3 Years’ experience Quality control in Manufacturing / Engineering Industry

DESIRED COMPETENCY & SKILLS

 Strong knowledge of machining processes (turning, milling, drilling, grinding)

 Positive understanding of casting processes and common casting defects

 Hands-on experience in inspection of machined and cast components

 Proficiency in GD&T; and engineering drawing interpretation

 Familiarity with ISO quality systems and documentation

 Knowledge of basic quality tools (7 QC tools) and root cause analysis

 Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation

 Ability to work in rotational shifts

 Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills

 Good communication and team coordination ability
