Position Summary:

The Quality Engineer for the Privacy and Data Governance Engineering teams is an important role at the Marriott Tech Accelerator, responsible for ensuring quality assurance and automation excellence across multiple tracks. This role ensures the highest standard of deliverables by managing robust end-to-end testing strategies, fostering collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, and advancing automation practices for scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure quality assurance across all tracks and ensuring the integrity and reliability of deliverables.
- Design, implement,



and optimize automation frameworks and test strategies for complex backend systems, REST APIs, Kafka-dependent applications, relational databases, and cloud-based deployments.
- Validate and automate test cases for systems leveraging event-driven architectures and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Integrate test cases with CI and CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to align testing activities with release goals and business priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement in test processes, defect management, and automation coverage, proactively identifying and addressing gaps in test execution.
- Facilitate technical training and development for team members to elevate overall quality standards.
- Coordinate the scheduling and execution of testing and report errors and issues for resolution.
- Contribute to the identification and ongoing monitoring of risks and concerns.
- Review and approve test scripts and automation flows, ensuring best practices are followed across all initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

- 2+ years of hand-on experience testing ETL data processing with the following tech stack:
- Python applications
- Complex SQL- Snowflake scripts
- AWS ecosystem (S3, EKS, EMR Serverless, Lambda, and more)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture
- Excellent communication, organizational, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience integrating automation test scripts with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with hands-on experience in automation scripting for large-scale applications

Preferred Qualifications:

- Undergraduate/bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Kafka event
- Airflow scheduler
